“Global Landmarks Illuminate in Emerald Green for St. Patrick’s Day”

The global landscape is turning green as renowned landmarks around the world are aglow in vibrant emerald hues today in anticipation of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. From the iconic skyline of New York to the ancient marvels of Europe, well-known monuments are being illuminated in green, creating a festive atmosphere that highlights Ireland on a global scale.

Among the illuminated landmarks this year are Niagara Falls, Canada’s CN Tower, Scotland’s National Wallace Monument, and Germany’s enchanting Heidecksburg Castle, all participating in the international tribute.

Tourism Ireland’s initiative has transformed some of the world’s most famous sights into shining symbols of Irish heritage and celebration. The Empire State Building in New York and Germany’s picturesque Heidecksburg Castle are among the notable landmarks that have been illuminated in green as part of Tourism Ireland’s Global Greening campaign.

Other landmarks joining the celebration include the Hôtel de Ville in Cannes, France, the Cibeles Fountain in the Spanish capital, the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, and the Wiener Riesenrad in Vienna, Austria.
