“Harry Hill’s Parody Sparks Clash with Jamie Oliver”

Television personality Harry Hill recently recalled a controversial incident where he pushed his joke about Jamie Oliver to the extreme, leading to a fallout between the two. The conflict arose after Harry created a parody sketch of one of Jamie’s popular cookery shows, Ministry of Food, which highlighted his ‘pass it on’ initiative aimed at promoting home cooking in Rotherham back in 2008.

In the parody, Harry mocked Jamie’s concept with a ‘turn it off’ campaign, suggesting that viewers should boycott the show altogether. This did not sit well with Jamie, who took offense to the parody. Despite acknowledging that they might have gone too far, Harry explained that they were under pressure to fill their show’s airtime.

Harry shared how he attempted to mend fences by creating a segment that resembled an apology after Jamie expressed his displeasure. In an effort to appease Jamie, Harry even made a video in which he humorously sang a song and displayed one of Jamie’s pans, trying to make amends for the earlier satire that had upset the renowned chef.
