Marella Cruises has announced a lineup of popular artists to commemorate its 30th anniversary. Renowned musicians like Pixie Lott and Lemar are scheduled to perform on special sailings.
As part of the celebrations, Marella Cruises, a division of the travel behemoth TUI, will observe the milestone across its five-ship fleet starting May 1. The festivities will consist of themed seven-night cruises featuring live music, appearances by celebrities, and entertainment inspired by the nostalgic 90s era.
Pixie Lott, a Brit-nominated singer-songwriter, will headline the entertainment on Marella Discovery with her show “Turn It Up.” Additionally, guests on Marella Discovery will have the opportunity to engage in a live Q&A session with the esteemed British broadcaster Michaela Strachan, who will share stories from her illustrious 40-year television career.
The birthday celebrations will encompass various ships in the fleet. Marella Discovery 2 will welcome singer and radio host Fleur East in Palma, accompanied by an exclusive Q&A session with the iconic Olympian Eddie “The Eagle” Edwards. Similarly, Marella Explorer, departing from Palma, will showcase a performance by BoyzLife, featuring Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden, along with another Q&A session with Edwards.
On Marella Voyager, guests will be treated to a special performance by La Voix, a favorite from Strictly Come Dancing and Drag Race. Meanwhile, in Limassol, guests aboard Marella Discovery can enjoy a live Q&A session with Anthea Turner as she reminisces about her career in beloved British TV programs.
Furthermore, double Brit Award winner Lemar will take the stage on Marella Explorer 2, presenting his collection of seven UK Top 10 singles to the ship’s entertainment lineup.
The anniversary cruises will offer themed onboard events, including a Birthday Gala, “Party Like It’s 1996” nights, quayside celebrations, 90s trivia quizzes, and screenings of classic television programs from the decade.
