“The Rocket’s Wardrobe Mishap Leads to Unusual Exit”

Ronnie O’Sullivan made an unexpected exit from his World Open match against Ross Muir due to a clothing mishap early in the first frame. The renowned player, also known as “The Rocket,” had scored 15 points before signaling to the referee that he was facing an issue.

Struggling with a wardrobe malfunction, O’Sullivan tried to fix a sponsor patch on his waistcoat but became increasingly frustrated with the stitching. After a brief exchange with the official, he left the playing area, causing a temporary suspension of the match.

Upon his return a few minutes later, O’Sullivan resumed play after informing Muir and the audience in Yushan, China, about the interruption. Despite facing distractions like a fly landing on the cue ball, O’Sullivan managed to secure a dominant 5-1 victory.

He quickly took a 3-0 lead with impressive breaks before Muir won a frame. However, O’Sullivan maintained control and sealed the win with a solid performance, missing out on a potential record-breaking break but finishing strong with a score of 114 in the final frame.

Looking ahead, O’Sullivan will face Matthew Selt in the next round, hoping to avoid any further wardrobe malfunctions. In other tournament matches, various players like Judd Trump, Zhao Xintong, and John Higgins have progressed to the next round, while others are set to compete for a spot in the following stage later today.
