“Jonathan Ross Reflects on Career Regrets and Oscar Predictions”

Jonathan Ross has expressed feelings of embarrassment regarding his career, stating, “I feel a little ashamed.” The 65-year-old embarked on his television hosting journey in 1987 with the debut of The Last Resort with Jonathan Ross on Channel X.

Subsequently, he gained immense popularity as the host of Friday Night with Jonathan Ross on BBC One from 2001 to 2010, where he engaged in conversations with notable figures like David Bowie, Gary Lineker, and Jackie Chan.

Following his departure from the BBC, Jonathan initiated The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV One. Reflecting on his career on the By The Way podcast, he acknowledged feeling “lucky” for having the opportunity to interview icons such as Lou Reed and Bowie.

Despite his success, Jonathan confessed to moments of self-doubt, admitting, “I didn’t do a good job” in some interviews. He explained that sometimes he regrets not allowing guests to speak more freely instead of injecting himself into the conversations.

As he prepares to host the 98th Academy Awards coverage for ITV and ITVX, Jonathan anticipates a tight race for the Best Picture award. He predicts a close competition between “One Battle After Another” and “Sinners,” highlighting the cultural significance of each film.

In his Oscar predictions, Jonathan foresees Michael Jordan as a probable winner for Best Actor and Jessie Buckley potentially clinching the Best Actress title for her role in “Hamnet.”

The Oscars Live event will be broadcast on ITV One and ITVX at 10.15 pm.
