“UK Braces for Snow and Chilly Conditions Today”

Both the Met Office and BBC Weather are predicting the possibility of snow in various regions of the UK today. While sunny intervals are expected in many parts of the country this Sunday, temperatures could reach up to 13C in the south and 11C in the north. Weather experts also anticipate the likelihood of “wintry” showers.

According to the Met Office, the day will start brightly in eastern areas before clouds move in, bringing continued eastward rain. Following this rain band, there will be sunny periods along with frequent blustery showers. These showers could be intense at times and may even turn wintry over higher ground.

Later in the evening, the rain is forecasted to clear towards the southeast, while some showers may persist in northwestern regions. The Met Office warns of temperatures dropping, describing the weather as turning chilly.

BBC Weather concurs, mentioning a rain band moving eastward across the UK today, with bright intervals and blustery showers from the west to follow. Showers in some areas could potentially become wintry over Scottish hills.

For the night ahead, the BBC predicts windy and cloudy conditions with blustery showers in northwestern areas, possibly bringing snow over hills. Southern regions may also experience a few showers in the evening.

Looking ahead, the Met Office indicates that Monday will see scattered showers, followed by increasing cloud cover and outbreaks of rain spreading across the nation. The weather is expected to stay mostly dry in the southeast.

The Met Office further forecasts that Tuesday will be mostly cloudy in the west with some drizzle, turning mostly dry from Wednesday onwards with varying cloud cover giving way to ample spring sunshine, resulting in warmer temperatures.

BBC Weather states that early showers will ease on Tuesday morning, followed by cloud building from the west, bringing rain to Northern Ireland, Scotland, and northwest England later in the day. The weather on Wednesday is expected to be predominantly dry with sunshine, although some clouds may linger in central areas, with occasional showers likely in northwestern Scotland. Thursday’s forecast includes sunny spells for most regions, with some clouds and isolated rain expected in northern England.
