“Gordon Ramsay Responds to Former Sous Chef’s Critique”

Gordon Ramsay reportedly gave a direct reply to a former staff member who questioned his absence from the chef’s latest Netflix project. Marcus Wareing, known for his role on “MasterChef: The Professionals,” once served as Ramsay’s sous chef and apprentice at Aubergine restaurant in Chelsea.

The duo later collaborated on the Michelin-starred Pétrus in Belgravia, with Wareing as head chef. Despite a public feud and legal battle over the Pétrus lease, they were seen dining together in Notting Hill in December 2025.

Ramsay’s new six-part Netflix series, “Being Gordon Ramsay,” premiered on February 18, showcasing his family life, business empire, and his venture into five culinary concepts at 22 Bishopsgate in London.

Wareing expressed disappointment at not being included in the documentary, quoting Ramsay as saying he “came to the party too late.” Concurrently, Ramsay made an appearance on BBC Radio 2, offering cooking tips on the Scott Mills Breakfast Show.

When asked for advice on cooking steak by a listener, Ramsay emphasized the importance of letting the steak rest after cooking to preserve its juiciness. He recommended seasoning the steak with olive oil, garlic, and rosemary, searing it in a hot pan, and allowing it to rest before slicing.
