Justin Thomas has recently sold his Florida mansion for £2.3 million as he decided to move away from his close friend and fellow golf star, Rickie Fowler. The 31-year-old, who has won the PGA Championship twice, originally bought the property on Pennock Point Road in Jupiter in 2016 for £1.1 million, making a substantial profit from the sale.
The house, built in 2008, features four bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, multiple lounges, a games room, and a covered patio bar. Thomas, now 32, initially purchased the prime real estate as he was climbing the ranks on the PGA Tour and living near Fowler and other top golfers in the upscale neighborhood.
In 2022, Thomas bid farewell to his former residence to move to a new £10 million home situated on the Loxahatchee River, which spans 7,600 square feet. Meanwhile, Fowler, a six-time PGA Tour winner, continues to reside on Pennock Point Road in a lavish £15 million mansion that he also acquired in 2016.
The house, designed by Roger Janssen, offers over 11,000 square feet of living space, six bedrooms, and nine bathrooms. With high ceilings, the property includes a games room, a sports bar, a home cinema, lush green areas, a large pool with a hot tub, an outdoor kitchen, and even a golf hole for convenient practice.
Thomas and Fowler share a deep bond beyond their PGA Tour careers, spending time together off the course and renting properties during tournaments. They enjoyed a vacation in the Bahamas for Spring Break in 2017 with Jordan Spieth and Smylie Kaufman and made a joint appearance at Wimbledon in 2023. Despite now living apart, their friendship remains strong.
Recently returning to competitive golf after back surgery, Thomas participated in the Arnold Palmer Invitational but missed the cut after two rounds of 79, finishing at 14 over par. Despite the setback, Thomas maintained a positive attitude, humorously commenting on his performance and acknowledging the expected rustiness.
Thomas has since competed in the Players Championship, playing alongside Scottie Scheffler and Tommy Fleetwood for the first two rounds, while Fowler, the 2015 Players champion, teamed up with Sahith Theegala and Spieth during the tournament’s initial days.
