“Finance Professional Overcomes Breast Cancer, Inspires Fundraiser”

A woman, Evelina Rydzanicz, 31, initially attributed her chest soreness to hormonal changes but received a shocking diagnosis. While showering, she noticed the discomfort on her left chest side and sought medical advice. Despite her general practitioner’s initial lack of concern and a four-week appointment offer, Evelina opted for private consultation.

After visiting The Chiltern Hospital’s breast clinic in Buckinghamshire, Evelina underwent tests revealing a suspicion of breast cancer. Subsequent biopsy results on May 9, 2025, confirmed stage two, grade two, triple-positive breast cancer. Treatment included chemotherapy, radiotherapy, Phesgo targeted therapy, and a lumpectomy, resulting in her current cancer-free status.

Reflecting on the unexpected diagnosis, Evelina, a finance professional from Reading, Berkshire, expressed her initial disbelief and the impact on her life. She described the emotional turmoil and the necessity to pause her daily routine for treatment.

Following a series of treatments, including chemotherapy and a successful lumpectomy, Evelina received the news of being cancer-free. Overwhelmed with joy, she shared her emotional journey and determination to move forward positively.

Evelina’s experience has inspired her to participate in the Breast Cancer Now’s Hampton Court Palace Pink Ribbon Walk to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. She views this event as a personal victory and an opportunity to celebrate life and strength with others who share similar experiences.
