“Drone Attack Strikes Upscale Dubai Skyscraper”

Another upscale tall building faced an attack by drones believed to be of Iranian origin, with dramatic footage capturing a fire engulfing the skyscraper.

A distressing video documented the aftermath of a retaliatory strike on Dubai, where the drone strike caused damage to a luxurious building near the Creek Harbour area, approximately 10km from the international airport. Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene to combat the fire, which blazed in the late hours of the night.

Disturbing images and videos depicted a dense cloud of smoke emanating from the apartment building in the early hours of Thursday, with a section illuminated by the inferno.

Officials have confirmed no casualties resulting from the recent attack, assuring that all residents are unharmed. This incident follows a previous drone strike on Dubai International Airport the day before.

During the drone attack on one of the world’s busiest airports, four individuals – citizens of Ghana, India, and Bangladesh – sustained injuries. Authorities reported the sighting of two drones near the airport.

In an announcement on X, Dubai authorities stated, “Two drones fell near Dubai International Airport (DXB) recently, causing minor injuries to two Ghanaians and one Bangladeshi, and moderate injuries to an Indian national. Air traffic operations are unaffected.”

The UAE Ministry of Defence released a statement confirming their response to missile and drone threats from Iran. They clarified that the sounds heard were the result of their Air Defence Systems intercepting incoming threats, urging the public to adhere to safety guidelines.

A passenger present at the airport during the incident informed the BBC that individuals were directed to move away from glass windows and seek shelter in secure areas.

Meanwhile, a British tourist faced legal trouble after allegedly filming a missile in the Emirate state, violating strict laws against documenting conflict. The 60-year-old Londoner was arrested and is among 21 individuals facing potential imprisonment for up to two years.

Radha Stirling, director of the Detained in Dubai organization, disclosed that the British man deleted the video promptly upon request, claiming no malicious intent, yet still faces charges along with others.
