Middleton’s legal battle involved claims that he violated an agreement not to divulge sensitive information about UK special forces without proper authorization. Following negotiations, the MoD confirmed a settlement had been reached, with Middleton committing to uphold the terms of the agreement. Middleton expressed shock at the accusations of revealing military secrets and clarified that certain details mentioned were not covered by confidentiality agreements from his time with the Royal Marines. The legal dispute has now been resolved, with Middleton reaffirming his compliance with the terms set forth in the settlement.
