“Caretaker Jailed for Filming Girls Changing at School”

A man who worked as a school caretaker has been sentenced to prison for filming three underage girls while they were changing after a physical education class. Joshua Snow placed his phone above a door in a staff-only corridor at The West Bridgford school in Nottinghamshire, where he recorded the girls without their knowledge.

After being identified through CCTV footage by the school’s head teacher following complaints from the victims, Snow’s phone was confiscated and examined. Authorities found another video from two years prior involving a fourth teenager, as revealed in Nottingham Crown Court.

Despite denying any sexual intent, the judge, Michael Auty KC, dismissed Snow’s claims and sentenced him to nine months in jail. One of the victims bravely read a statement in court, expressing feeling violated and shocked by the breach of trust by an adult in a position of authority at the school.

The incident came to light when the three girls noticed a phone being held over a door in the changing rooms following their PE session. They reported it, leading to an investigation that eventually led to Snow’s arrest. He initially denied involvement, suggesting it might have been a radio he was tossing in the air.

Snow later pleaded guilty to two counts of voyeurism for recording the victims during private moments. The girls involved are granted lifelong anonymity as victims of the crimes. The judge emphasized the impact of Snow’s actions on the victims, highlighting the breach of privacy and trust.

In addition to the prison sentence, Snow was placed on the sex offender register for a decade and given a 10-year sexual harm prevention order. The school where the incident occurred confirmed Snow’s termination and expressed its commitment to supporting the affected students and families.
