‘Wolf Pack’ Sentenced to Prison for Gang Rape in Magaluf

A gang known as the ‘wolf pack’ that sexually assaulted a British teenager in Magaluf displayed a disturbing attitude when confronted about their actions. Seven French men and one Swiss national from the gang were recently sentenced to prison terms ranging from nine to 11 years by the Audiencia Provincial court in Palma, Majorca. This decision came after their involvement in a brutal attack on a young British holidaymaker in August 2023. Additionally, another member received a four-year sentence for a different sexual assault incident.

The group admitted to recording the heinous gang rape that took place in room 108 of the BH Mallorca Resort, with two individuals even sharing the footage on Snapchat. Shockingly, many of the perpetrators refused to cooperate with the police or the courts during the investigation, opting to remain silent.

According to sources, the attackers, who seemingly came from stable backgrounds, declined to provide any information or justifications for their actions, such as blaming alcohol or drugs. The details of the assault revealed that two of the individuals, Khalil Abderrahmen Mejbri and Romain Charles Michel Galatioto, committed multiple sexual acts on the victim while she was inebriated and unconscious.

The court documents, signed by all the accused as part of their plea agreements, identified Galatioto, Anthony Guy Gerard Wengler, Lucas Haiaiel Ngandjeu Djamen Tchatchou, and Thomas Eric Coretin Wisniewski as perpetrators of sexual assault. The victim was subjected to various forms of abuse during the terrifying incident.

The victim was eventually found in distress by a hotel security guard, leading to the discovery of the crime. While two suspects were apprehended abroad through a European Arrest Warrant, the remaining six were captured in Majorca. At the time of their arrest, most of the offenders were young adults without prior criminal records in Spain.

The court sentenced Mejbri and Wisniewski to nine years in prison for severe sexual offenses, while Wengler, Tchatchou, and Galatioto received 11-year prison terms for similar crimes. Sahan was convicted of sexual assault without penetration and received a four-year sentence. Moreover, the convicted individuals were ordered to compensate the victim with over €100,000 (£86,000) as part of their punishment.
