“Tragic Car Crash Claims Life of Infant Noah Carpenter in Gates”

A tragic car accident has claimed the life of a six-month-old infant named Noah Carpenter, who was a passenger in a white SUV driven by his parents, Jake and Kelly Carpenter. The incident occurred when their vehicle was rear-ended by a black SUV at a junction in Gates, New York. The family was reportedly trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated by emergency services before being transported to the hospital with severe injuries.

Sadly, Noah succumbed to his injuries, while his mother, Kelly, is in critical condition with a severe traumatic brain injury that required immediate surgery. Jake also suffered a serious injury to his aorta and underwent surgery, but is expected to recover fully. In response to the tragedy, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched by a family friend to assist with Noah’s funeral expenses and help cover the medical bills of Kelly and Jake.

The collision took place at the intersection of Buffalo Road and Howard Road on the morning of March 5. The Gates Police Department is actively investigating the incident. The Carpenters, who do not have other children, are currently receiving care at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. The crowdfunding initiative has raised around $160,000 (£120,000) with generous contributions from both known and unknown donors.

Authorities reported that the black SUV struck the rear of the white SUV, which was stationary at a traffic light, with three occupants inside – the driver, a front-seat passenger, and the infant secured in a child safety seat. The Buffalo and Howard Road intersection, located in the town of Gates near Rochester, is a bustling four-way crossroad. For those wishing to support the Carpenter family through the GoFundMe page, a donation link is available.
