Trump to Probe Alleged Romance’s Influence in DHS Ads

Donald Trump is reportedly preparing his team to investigate the alleged romantic relationship of his ousted immigration chief. The US President recently dismissed Department of Homeland Security head Kirsti Noem, a strong supporter of MAGA, due to various controversies, including the fatal shootings by ICE officers. Following Noem’s dismissal, Trump shifted his focus to her top adviser and rumored lover, Corey Lewandowski.

Reports indicate that Trump was interested in determining if the supposed lover, who also served as a “special government employee” to Noem, had personally benefited from a massive $200 million advertising campaign prominently featuring Noem’s image. This campaign seemed to contribute to Noem’s downfall at the DHS.

According to a White House official, Trump repeatedly inquired about Lewandowski’s involvement in the ad campaign, expressing concerns about its impact. The $200 million campaign was a significant topic during congressional hearings before Noem’s termination, with Trump disavowing knowledge of the project’s details.

Sources suggest that Trump grew suspicious of Lewandowski’s influence behind the scenes, as he held a unique role at the DHS and unofficially acted as Noem’s chief of staff. Allegations surfaced that the rumored lover wielded disproportionate power within the agency.

During a House Judiciary Committee testimony, Noem faced questions about her relationship with Lewandowski, which she dismissed as baseless. Lewandowski, in an interview with NBC News, vehemently denied any financial gain from the $200 million campaign. Notably, the controversial ads featured Noem at Mount Rushmore discussing immigration issues.

The advertising contracts raised eyebrows, particularly the $143 million no-bid deal with Safe America Media, a company later subcontracted to Strategy Group. Additionally, People Who Think, led by a political operative linked to Lewandowski, received a $77 million contract.

This situation has garnered attention for its implications on government ethics and accountability.
