A tragic incident occurred on Newbold Road in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, resulting in the death of a 14-year-old boy following a collision between an electric bike and a car. The boy, identified as Finley Dawson, was riding the e-bike with a 15-year-old passenger when it crashed into a Kia Sportage at approximately 8:30 pm on Thursday. Both riders were thrown from the bike and taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
Despite medical efforts, Finley’s injuries were deemed fatal, and he passed away the following day. The passenger remains hospitalized in a serious but stable condition. The driver of the Kia is cooperating with authorities as a witness, and no arrests have been made.
