Police searching for a woman who went missing have found a tragic outcome. Carol Hillier, a resident of Sandy, Bedfordshire, disappeared over three weeks ago in February. The 64-year-old was last sighted near The Old Anchor Pub in Sutton, Cambridgeshire, on Sunday, February 15, around 11 am, according to authorities. The police confirmed on Sunday that they retrieved a body from the river at Sutton Gault, near Ely, during their search for Carol.
Although formal identification is pending, the police have notified Carol’s family about the discovery. Investigators had been combing through water bodies and dense vegetation close to where her silver Mercedes E Class was located. A spokesperson from Cambridgeshire Police expressed sadness over the recovery of the body and stated that Carol’s family had been informed about the development. No formal identification has been conducted yet. The police extended their gratitude to everyone who assisted in the search for Carol.
