Ian Huntley’s daughter has expressed her strong feelings towards her father’s passing, stating that he doesn’t deserve a funeral and suggesting that his ashes should be disposed of in the toilet.
The notorious Soham murderer passed away in the hospital following an alleged assault by fellow inmate Anthony Russell, who is also a convicted triple murderer.
It is reported that Huntley sustained serious brain injuries after being struck on the head with a sharp metal pole during the incident.
In response to Huntley’s death, a Ministry of Justice spokesperson labeled his heinous crimes against Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman as one of the most appalling in the nation’s history. Samantha Bryan, Huntley’s daughter, revealed her initial sense of relief upon learning of her father’s demise.
Samantha disclosed her conflicted thoughts about attending his funeral, expressing both a desire to confirm his death and a reluctance to participate in any funeral proceedings. She mentioned considering the possibility of discarding his ashes down the toilet to prevent unwanted attention from individuals she referred to as “freaks or weirdos.”
Additionally, Samantha mentioned her contemplation of reconnecting with her biological grandmother, Lynda Richards, who had visited Huntley in the hospital before his passing.
Durham Constabulary confirmed Huntley’s death, stating that he succumbed to injuries sustained during the incident at HMP Frankland in Durham. An ongoing police investigation is underway, with preparations being made to submit a file to the Crown Prosecution Service for potential charges.
